I'm Anapê, but ppl call me beta! Northern brazilian, I live in a city in the Amazon region, where I was born and raised. Pronouns are she/they (ela/iles).
I'm a white, enby (demigirl), bisexual, neuroatypical (adhd) person. I believe in social, ethno and environmental justice through the collaborative work!
Some of my interests are videogames, retro games, music, culture, communication and movies. I've been really into specific subjects like romhacking and speedrunning since covid has started. I was never into social media, but things changed for me mainly bc of covid.
I don't know a lot about FOSS and tech in general bc this was not accessible to me during most part of my life, I had more or less access to this or that stuff which made me a hybrid user.
I'm here bc I want to learn things to change my current reality and make some tech transitions possible!

Calling game researchers!
I've got an 8+ terabyte collection of old gaming and computer magazines from around the world (it's my goal to catch 'em all), and I've built my own indexer. Roughly half have been indexed — 4 million pages — including a ton of material that can't be found on the Internet Archive.
Whether it's an academic paper or a YouTube video, I'm happy to help with your project.
This should be a blog post, but yeah lol... I couldn't hold back. I'll expand this later, tho. Hope you folks are having a great day!
I never thought I would find this kind of support from ppl on internet, being completely honest. And that's not the first time. That's absolutely insane from my perspective and considering my trajectory and boundaries. It may sounds irrelevant for outsiders but this kind of joy gives me the strength and faith I need for doing afk/irl stuff and absolutely unrelated to videogames. Stuff that helps me and other ppl near to me.
Yesterday I was invited for a gaming team which includes the best kaizo player/speedrunner overall of current times imo... This person, from what I know, started doing stuff from a snes9x a while ago and got many world records, which was always a silent inspiration for me. The team is plenty of great ppl, btw, I feel really honored to get the opportunity of learning close from them. I am the only one from south america right there. And I feel their love and respect.
